Experience adrenaline pumping grade 5 white water action on the exciting and beautiful Kaituna River.
Boasting the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the southern hemisphere, with a thundering 7 meter drop, the Kaituna is a must do adventure activity in New Zealand.
Apart from the "Big Waterfall" this Kaituna Rafting expedition offers 14 rapids in 45 minutes as you negotiate your way through the spectacular lush tree lined gorges, steeped in Maori history.
The Kaituna is rated grade 5 because of the waterfall however it is still completely suitable for first time rafters who are comfortable in the water.

Wow thanks! Great review, so glad you guys had a blast :-)
thanks for your fab review Bron!
Hi there, We are sorry that you were disappointed with the age restriction. It is noted on our website and on the Bookme's info also . I'm sorry it was not in your confirmation letter. We can see if we can get that changed. The age restriction of 13 is for all Grade 5 rivers and is under Maritime Law that we enforce this without exception. We know and understand its disappointing for children under this age. We highlighted this with you on check in and offered a full refund, or the option for your son to raft from the waterfall down. You chose the second option. You and your son had a lot of fun on the trip, so we hope you are able to remember the experience favourably despite your discontent. Warm regards WetnWild rafting
